To-do list
1 - In fact, we do have a fest for everything.
Saturday is the last day of Kids' Beadfest, where children ages 6 and older can "make 'n' take" a pair of earrings (for the new school year, perhaps) for $5.
It's held at Eclectica in the Bead Studio at the Galleria West Shopping Center, 18900 W. Blue Mound Road, Brookfield.
For more information, call (262) 641-0910 or nfl jerseys go to www.eclecticabeads.com.
2 - "Burning Down the Fox" could make driving to Princeton worth the trip - and the ensuing pounds.
You can't tell from the title, but this event is a fifth annual "Bar-B-Q Championship," and it's sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society.
But wait, there's more. Burning Down the Fox also boasts live music, a flea market, Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and athletic competitions, along with plenty to eat. Saturday is the second and final day of this year's event.
For more information and a map of the site on Highway 23 in Princeton, go to www.burningdownthefox.com.
3 - Another road trip choice - about 90 minutes' worth - is the opening of the Wisconsin Veterans Dallas Cowboys jersey Memorial on Saturday at Sauk Prairie Airport.
It's also the date for the fourth annual Sauk Prairie Airport Fly-In and Community Day, with hot air balloon, helicopter and airplane rides along with jugglers, dancers, singers, magicians and a classic car show.
Events run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rain date is Sunday.

After errands
Ever noticed what the makings for a good summer drink can do to drain your pocketbook?
Here's an inexpensive drink, a version of Denver Broncos jersey which is suggested by About.com, that's refreshing and kind to the budget:
Mix a small bottle of ginger ale - or ginger beer, which we think is much better - and a shot of whiskey into a highball glass with ice.
